The sampierotta has been for many centuries the typical fishing boat of the Southern Lagoon, in fact it takes its name from the fishing village of San Piero in Volta on the island of Pellestrina. It is a very ductile boat that can go either by motor or by rowing. Thanks to the flat bottom (fishing only 25 cm) can also navigate in very shallow water and then get out of the channels and go into the most beautiful parts of the lagoon.
“Mora” was built in 1981 at the “Menetto” shipyard in S. Piero in Volta. The “Menetto” shipyard was known for the unmistakable line it gave to the sampierotte. “Mora” despite its age is a beautiful and very elegant boat. It can carry up to 5 people plus the driver. It is equipped with 2 benches.
Thanks to its agility can navigate almost anywhere within the Venetian Lagoon.
